Steps to pay by Invoicing instead of a Credit Card

You can submit a request to pay by invoice by contacting support either via phone or the website. Once your request has been approved, you will be provided instructions on how to set up your subscription for the invoice payment method.**

Before you begin:

Please have the following information at hand:

  • Company name
  • Windows Live ID (the one you will associate with your account)
  • Volume Licensing information (if applicable)
    • VL agreement number*
    • VL program name (i.e., Enterprise Agreement, Enterprise Subscription Agreement, Select Plus, Select , ISV Royalty Licensing or Services Provider License Agreement)

Request via website:

To submit a support request to pay by invoice, please follow these steps:

  1. Initiate a support request by clicking on this link.
  2. Select the "Billing and usage metering" as the support topic and sub-topic of "Billing Questions" and click "Continue".
  3. On the "Support Options" page, keep the default option of "Web form" selected and click "Continue".
  4. Enter "Request Invoice Payment Method" as the problem title and provide the information above.

* Contact your Volume Licensing Administrator or your procurement contact for the Volume Licensing agreement number.
** A credit check may be required if the VL agreement information is not sufficient to process the request. In this case, customer support will provide you with a credit check application. After submission, the credit application can take 5-7 business days to process.
